Curriculum – Ayurveda Practitioner Program – 1 year
The Ayurvedic Practitioner Program at Kottakkal Ayurveda Gurukul is designed as a Second Level comprehensive 1-year program (1000 hours), totaling in-depth study and practical training.
1. Ayurvedic Pathology and Diagnosis (250 hours)
- Ayurvedic understanding of disease etiology and progression (50 hours)
- Clinical diagnosis and differential diagnosis in Ayurveda (50 hours)
- Advanced pulse diagnosis and tongue diagnosis techniques (40 hours)
- Interpretation of laboratory and diagnostic tests in Ayurveda (40 hours)
- Ayurvedic treatment principles and protocols (70 hours)
2. Ayurvedic Lifestyle and Food as Medicine (300 hours)
- Dietary guidelines and nutrition according to Ayurveda (40 hours)
- Ayurvedic cooking techniques and food growing/preparation (140 hours)
- Dinacharya (daily routines) and Ritucharya (seasonal routines) (60 hours)
- Yoga, Pranayama, and meditation for holistic health (60 hours)
3. Specialized Ayurvedic treatment modalities (Panchakarma) (150 hours)
4. Clinical Internship and Practicum (300 hours) – In India
- Supervised clinical observation and hands-on training (200 hours)
- Practicing Ayurvedic consultations under supervision (100 hours)
